Bowen karsinomu is a limited, slow growing type of skuamous cell carcinoma in the epidermis, which is the most external layer of the deep. It is often seen as a redish, pull or shelled plaque and is considered a non-invasive cancer precursor. Lesions often occur in areas exposed to the sun and can transmit invasive skuamous cell carcinoma if not treated. The diagnosis is subject as a result of histopathological examination with biopsy and used surgical excision, cryotherapy or topical drugs in the treatment.
