Cerebral autosomal recessive arteriopathy with subcortical infarcts and leukoencephalopathy — Definition

Serebral otozomal resesif arteriopati ile subkortikal enfarktlar ve lökensefalopati; the cerebral autosomal infarctions and leukensefalopathy are a rare genetic disease that affects small brain vessels. This situation showing autozomal resesif inheritance leads to recurrent subcortical infarctions (inme-like attacks) and progressive leukensefalopathy (white ore damage). Clinically characterized by migraine-like headaches, seizures, cognitive rectification and motor disorders. The disease occurs due to mutations in the gene of HTRA1 and usually begins to give symptoms at the adult age.
