Fanconi renotubular syndrome 4 with Maturity-onset diabetes of the young — Definition

Fanconi Renotubüler Sendromu Tip 4 ile Gençlikte Başlayan Erişkin Tipi Diyabet; fanconi renotubular syndrome type 4 is a rare genetic disease characterized by dysfunction of the function of the kidney tubules and occurs in conjunction with adult type diabetes (MODY). This condition leads to disorder in the absorption of substances such as glucose, phosphate, amino acids and bicarbonate from the kidneys. Symptoms may occur, such as frequent urination in patients, excessive thirst, growth retardation and bone softening. The MODY component results in the development of diabetes at the early age, depending on the dysfunction of the pancreas beta cells.
