Herring cismi is a diffusion of the pituitary gland (nörohyofiz), which is located in the back lobe of the pituitary gland. These structures are enlarged sections of nerve endings that store neurohormones such as antidiuretic hormone (ADH) and oxideosin. Clinically, the presence of Herring objects is an indicator of the normal neurohypophysis function and is not directly associated with any pathological condition.
