Hirschsprung's disease — Definition

Hirschsprung hastalığı / Hirschsprung's disease
It is a congenital disease and leads to disruption of intestinal movements as a result of the absence of ganglion cells in the distal part of the column. This condition causes functional congestion in the affected intestinal segment and manifests itself in newborns often with meconium disinsection, abdominal swelling and chronic constipation. The diagnosis is usually put in rektal biopsi and should be removed from the intestinal section without ganglion surgically in the treatment.
