Landau–Kleffner sendromu / Landau–Kleffner syndrome
It is a rare neurological disorder that started in childhood, also known as acquired epileptic aphase. The disease is characterized by loss of speech and understanding ability in children with normal language development before. Generally, epileptic seizures are accompanied and epileptic activity, which is pronounced during sleep in electroensefalography (EEG). Antiepileptic drugs, corticosteroids and sometimes surgical intervention are used in treatment.
