It is a disease characterized by excessive urine removal (polyurei) and susama (polidipsi) resulting in not responding to the antidiuretic hormone of the kidneys. Despite the normal levels of ADH, urine can not be concentrated due to the dysfunction of water channels (acvaporins) in the kidney tubular. This condition may develop depending on drugs such as genetic mutations, lithium or chronic kidney diseases. Medications such as correction of underlying cause in treatment, salt restriction and tiazide diuretics.
