Hao–Fountain syndrome is a rare neurocommunication disorder caused by mutations in USP7 gene. In patients there are typically mild to moderate mental insufficiency, speech delay and otism spectrum disorder-like behaviors. Also, characteristic facial features (wide forehead, low ears) and can accompany hypotonia, nutrition power or seizures in some patients. Sendrom is defined in 2015 for the first time, and the severity of clinical findings vary between individuals.
