retinitis pigmentosa 28; retinitis pigmentosa 28, is a hereditary retinal degeneration disease, usually caused by mutations in the RP28 gene. This situation can also affect the center vision over time with night blindness and peripheral vision loss. The disease leads to agitating loss of photoreseptor cells and often shows autozomal resesif transition. Retinitis pigmentosa is a subtype of retinitis pigmentosa group, which shows genetic heterogenity.
