Seboreic dermatitis is a chronic, inflammatory skin disease, especially in areas where fat glands such as scalp, face, chest and back are dense. Clinically, redness, peeling and dandruff are characterized by oily shelling. The disease is associated with excessive reproduction of Malassezia yeast species and imbalance in the immune response of the individual. Often accompanied by itching and can be flamed with stress, cold weather or hormonal changes.
