serine/threonine protein kinase complex — Definition

serin/treonin protein kinaz kompleksi; the cool/treonin protein kinase complex is a group of enzymes that regulate the activity of proteins by adding phosphate to hydroxyl groups of cool or treonin amino acids. This complex plays a role in critical processes such as cell growth, division, differentiation and apoptosis. Clinically, dysregulation of this complex is associated with pathologies such as cancer, diabetes and neurodegenerative diseases.
